We’ll visit the front lines where Franco’s troops, backed by Hitler and Mussolini, fought against the citizens of Madrid and their Parton: Josef Stalin.

Riding High on the Falangist victory in the Spanish Civil War, Franco strove to bring Spain into the 20th Century. For better and for worse, Fransisco Franco changed the face of Madrid and Spain forever. Follow the history iof fascist Madrid from its origins during a failed coup, through imposing architecture, stories or repression, and Spain’s remarkable transition to democracy. We’ll end with a sobering reflection on the 20th century at Franco’s tomb.
